Get out your camp cards, because a real-world Yuru Camp adventure is starting tomorrow.

A stamp rally tied to aoi Hiromi's hit slice-of-life anime is kicking off at the Yazak Dam (矢作ダム), the reservoir that doubles as the fictional setting where young Rin and her grandfather first wandered in Yuru Camp Season 3, Episode 1. The event marks the dam's 55th anniversary, and it's the kind of pilgrimage-worthy trip that makes the whole "visit the real anime locations" itch come alive.

How it works

  • Shop at 500 yen or more at participating stores (restaurants, michi-eki roadside stations, cafés) and get one stamp.
  • Collect all 8 stamps and trade them at an exchange counter for an exclusive dam card (ダムカード) — featuring a young Rin and her grandfather, so they're going to go fast.
  • Only 3,000 dam cards are being distributed, on a first-come, first-served basis, so if you want one, go early.

Where to go

Stamps are spread across 6 spots in 3 prefectures — Aichi (Toyota), Gifu (Ena), and Nagano (Nebara/Higashinagano villages):

  • Aichi / Toyota: Kōyama Kōgen Genki Mura, Country Restaurant Keiryūson, Hidaya, Warichacha-ya, the Inabu onsen café Grotier, and more.
  • Gifu / Ena: Café Shack, Satonokei Café, Oku-Yazak Recreation Center, Kami-Yazak La Forest Fukujū no Sato, River Park Kamiyahagi.
  • Nagano: Never Land, Fujishima Ramen, A-Coop Nebara, Okuchi cuisine, Peer Tree Farm Café, Matsunoya.

Three of these double as card-exchange counters, and they conveniently sit near hot springs — Sasayuri no Yu in Ena, Himawari no Yu in Higashinagano — so it's an easy overnight camping-adjacent route.

Honestly? This is exactly the flavor Yuru Camp does best — turning an ordinary piece of infrastructure into somewhere worth a train ride. A dam, a grandfather, a handful of stamps, and three thousand collectible cards. If you're anywhere near the Chūbu region this weekend, it's a proper little trip.
