The Gundam franchise is keeping up the momentum with another SEED announcement. A special program dedicated to Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom Zero will air simultaneously worldwide on the Gundam YouTube channel starting October 9 at 4:45 AM JST.

What Is SEED Freedom Zero?

SEED Freedom Zero is a prequel to the 2024 theatrical release Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom. During production of the original film, series composer Chiaki Kon, scriptwriter Shigeru Morita, and director Mitsuo Fukuda sketched out a separate storyline that ultimately got its own dedicated project.

The YouTube special will showcase the same new information that debuts at the New York Comic Con 2026 panel on the same day.
